What is green washing?

You can find many products in the market, especially cleaning and personal care products that intentionally mislead you, the consumer, with words like "natural" or "bio degradable". Sometimes, the product name has words like "earth", "botanical", "better choice", " eco choice" etc.

Words like these are not regulated, meaning no one has tested the products to check that they are natural or bio degradable. This is called Green Washing - making it look like a product is somehow better for our planet.

We believe in transparency when it comes to our product labels and our marketing. Our labels clearly outline every ingredient within each product — nothing more, nothing less.

Our regulating agencies currently do not provide a definition for the term "natural". Because a legal definition doesn't yet exist.

We care deeply about transparency, so we would like to explain what "natural" means to us.

Natural ingredients

For Euclove, a “natural” ingredient means it started from a natural, renewable source found in nature with absolutely no petroleum compounds. Here are some examples of “natural ingredient” sources we use: coconut oil, neem oil, olive oil, rose geranium oil many more.

A “natural” ingredient may also be identified as plant-based, plant-derived, or naturally derived.

Synthetic ingredients

A “synthetic” ingredient is one that is not from a natural source, or that has been extensively synthesized before becoming the final ingredient.

We avoid using synthetic ingredients in our products.
